Hi, I’m Nadia.
I help people better understand themselves, navigate relationships and other people, work through conflict and difficult situations, and live with greater clarity and intention.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, trained mediator, coach, and educator — and the founder of Simple Calm Living and Limitless Wellness Counseling.
My work is rooted in curiosity about people: why we think, feel, and behave the way we do, why relationships can become so complicated, and how greater understanding can help us navigate life with more wisdom and intention.
How I Got Here
My path here has run through years of formal education, work as a therapist, training in mediation, coaching, and simply spending a lot of time with people during difficult moments in their lives.
Along the way, I kept noticing something that went beyond any one diagnosis or life circumstance: people don’t only struggle because of mental health concerns. They also struggle because navigating themselves and other human beings is genuinely difficult — and it’s not something most of us were ever explicitly taught.
We’re expected to know how to handle conflict, understand our own emotions, communicate through real differences, maintain relationships, deal with difficult personalities, set appropriate boundaries, repair what’s been damaged, forgive, accept, compromise, notice our own patterns, and make hard decisions — often without anyone ever walking us through how.
Simple Calm Living grew out of wanting to explore those ideas in a practical, accessible way — the kind of thing people can actually use in the middle of an ordinary week, not just in a crisis.
What I Have Come to Believe
Most modern advice tries to reduce complicated human situations into a single universal answer: set the boundary, cut them off, communicate better, forgive, leave, stay, choose yourself, compromise, let it go.
Any one of those responses can be exactly right — in the right circumstance. None of them is right in every circumstance.
Context matters. Patterns matter. Intentions matter. Consequences matter. The relationship itself matters. And often, our own behavior matters just as much as the other person’s.
The harder, more valuable skill isn’t memorizing the right answer. It’s learning to understand what is actually happening in a given situation, and recognizing what that situation may genuinely require — which is a skill I’ve come to think of as discernment.
Peace isn’t the absence of conflict. It’s the ability to move through conflict with wisdom.
Clarity + Interpersonal Skills = Discernment
Clarity helps us understand — ourselves, other people, and what’s actually happening. Interpersonal skills help us navigate it — communication, conflict, boundaries, repair. Together, they build discernment: the ability to recognize what a particular moment truly calls for.

My Professional Background
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, trained mediator, coach, and educator. My background in psychology, counseling, emotional well-being, human behavior, relationships, and conflict shapes the perspective I bring to everything at Simple Calm Living.
That said, the content, coaching, and resources here are educational in nature — they’re not therapy or mental health treatment. If you’re looking for clinical care, you’ll find that through Limitless Wellness Counseling, further down this page.
Interpersonal Clarity Coaching
Interpersonal Clarity Coaching is one-on-one support for people who want individualized help understanding themselves, navigating relationships and conflict, dealing with difficult people and patterns, strengthening interpersonal skills, and making more thoughtful decisions about how to move forward.
The approach is grounded in the same idea that runs through everything here: clarity plus interpersonal skills builds discernment — the ability to recognize what your specific situation actually calls for.
A Personal Note
Outside of my work, I’m a mom of three and a small dog, a lifelong learner, and someone who deeply values faith, family, meaningful connection, and a peaceful home. Growing up Palestinian American taught me the importance of connection, belonging, and recognizing the humanity we all share. I love traveling, long walks, Pilates, quiet moments of reflection, and conversations that go beyond the surface.
Like everyone else, I’ve had to navigate change, difficult relationships, unexpected chapters, and the ongoing work of learning when to hold on, when to let go, and how to find peace with what I cannot control. Those experiences have shaped not only who I am, but how I understand people and the complicated realities of everyday life.
Simple Calm Living grew from my belief that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful or peaceful. Sometimes, we simply need greater clarity, better tools, and the wisdom to move through life with more intention.
